No, a GP referral is not needed to have your wax removed. Upon arrival, the audiologist will obtain some history from you regarding your ear heath to ensure the procedure can be performed as safely as possible
No. Microsuction painlessly removes earwax through gentle suction and precision targeting, typically causing minimal discomfort. The suction device can can produce some noise and some individuals may experience slight pressure during the procedure
The session can take up to 30 mins but is usually finished much quicker than this.
A week before the microsuction appt, we recommend you start using olive oil drops once a night allowing the wax to soften making the removal much easier.
